Costume
Rachel has always enjoyed designing and making costumes. She spends her free time as a cosplayer as well, so has lots of experience. Her favourite styles involve anything bright and colourful with bold shapes and patterns.

Psychic Visions - 2025
The strong art direction I was given from Psychic Visions meant that creating my designs was in many ways easy. They had thoughtful ideas and good feedback for my work. Plus pairing my designs with the make up of Eboni Wrenn was a dream.
Cabaret: A Night at the Musicals 2023
Minotaur Theatre Company - The LCR Norwich - March 2023
Here the directors wanted the costumes to be relatively accurate to the musicals they were portraying, which for some songs like 9 to 5 meant simply finding suits and blazers, or t shirts and jeans for You Will Be Found. For Six the Musical it meant more work to create looks that represented the Queens. My favourite was finding enough sequins to dazzle the audience for our great sparkling final Proud Mary!

Attempts on Her Life - Martin Crimp
UEA Drama Studio - December 2022
This performance was my first time being the costume designer and having a whole team to lead. I learnt a lot about creative collaboration and was proud of the work we achieved. I especially admire what the make up team came up with that complimented the stylish 70s reminiscent military eco-terroism brief we were given.

Present Laughter
Minotaur Theatre Company - UEA Drama Studio - April 2022
Here the extensive period wardrobe of the UEA Drama studio came in handy as this show features many characters of different status who all needed to reflect the period and their personalities. It was a fun challenge. But it was a show that emphasised the importance of the hair and make up team to pull the looks together.

Lord Of The Rings the Pantomime
Lord of the Rings: The Pantomime!
By Jay Cooper - UEA Pantomime Society - January 2022
This was a fun trick of creating costumes that were identifiable as the characters on a shoe string budget. Cardboard, paper mache, and spare fabric I had at home were my best friends during this project. My favourite piece is torn between Gimli's helmet (which is pretty screen accurate if I do say so myself), or the fun I had with the dame costume. For Eowyn I had to make extremely deep pockets for her skirt as she had to pull out an inordinate amount of items from them during one gag.

Lakespeare
UEA Drama and Musical Theatre Society - UEA Lake - June 2021
This was fun as each scene of Shakespeare by the Lake had a different director. The actors were all socially distancecd but we relished the chance to make theatre together again after so long alone. We had an overall vision of tying the scenes to the natural landscapes via the costumes, however there aren't many photos I can find. My favourite pieces were the large spiky crown I made for Titania and the extravagant feathered mask I made for Mercutio.
